Following Chapterhouse Publishing’s news that Jay Baruchel will be joining as Chief Creative Officer, Montreal Comiccon have announced that Chapterhouse and Jay will be at this year’s event.
Launched in 2006, the multi-genre fan convention focuses on comics, sci-fi, horror, anime and games. Chapterhouse Publishing have also announced they will have an official panel at MCC and Jay Baruchel will be taking part in an exclusive signing on Sunday 9th July.
Fadi Hakim President of Chapterhouse Publishing founded Chapterhouse Comics Group in 2014. Boasting titles such as Captain Canuck, Spirit Leaves, The Pitiful Human Lizard, All New Classic Captain Canuck, True Patriot and Die Kitty Die, the fledgling publishing house is quickly becoming Canada’s leading comics company, distributing throughout North America and internationally.
Richard Comely has worked as a commercial artist and writer since his teens. He began publishing his Captain Canuck comic book series in early 1975. Having been published on and off for approximately 40 years, Captain Canuck has become one of Canada’s most famous superheroes.
Kalman Andrasofszky is responsible for designing the new Captain Canuck and his universe with a more modern take. Currently, he is writing the new Captain Canuck comic series, co-writing Agents of PACT with Blake Northcott and co-writing Captain Canuck Year One with Jay Baruchel. Recently, Kalman became Editor in Chief for Chapterhouse Publishing and is responsible for the direction of the all-new Chapterverse.
Jay Baruchel, the Canadian actor, writer and director (Goon: Last of the Enforcers, How To Train Your Dragon) has recently joined the Chapterhouse family as investor, owner and Chief Creative Officer.
